Acres Auto Parts and Recycling – Warranty Policy
At Acres Auto Parts and Recycling, we take pride in providing high-quality used auto parts. All parts come with a standard 90-day warranty 6,000 miles (Whichever comes first), with extended coverage options available for purchase. However, parts sold for use in commercial vehicles, taxis, Uber, and Lyft are limited to a 30-day warranty.
Mechanical Warranty Duration & Terms
The duration of the warranty is specified on the invoice. If no specific warranty information is listed, the following terms apply:
- Repair Shops: 90-Day Parts-Only Warranty 6,000 miles (Whichever comes first)
- Direct Consumers: 90-Day Parts-Only Warranty 6,000 miles (Whichever comes first)
- Auto Parts Yards: 90-Day Parts-Only Warranty 6,000 miles (Whichever comes first)
- Commercial Vehicles (Taxis, Uber, Lyft): 30-Day Parts-Only Warranty 6,000 miles (Whichever comes first)
- Exported Parts: No Warranty
All warranties begin on the invoice date (not the installation date) and are non-transferable, applying only to the original purchaser. Acres Auto Parts and Recycling may, at its discretion, repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of a failed part. We reserve the right to replace failed parts with ones of equal or better condition. All warranty claims must include the original invoice.
Mechanical Warranty Disclaimer & Validation
Engines
Our engine warranties cover defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, rockers, and oil pump. Warranty is voided if the engine’s heat tab is melted or removed. Sensors, wiring, fuel injectors, manifolds, turbos, and other accessories are not covered.
Transmissions
Transmissions are covered for slippage and shifting failures only. The warranty does not cover modulators, governors, electrical controls, linkage, mounts, seals, gaskets, or fluids.
Differentials
All internal lubricated parts are covered. Warranty is void if proper installation procedures are not followed.
Installation & Maintenance Requirements
To maintain warranty coverage, the following procedures must be followed:
Engines
- Drain and replace engine oil to manufacturer specifications
- Replace oil, air, and fuel filters
- Replace valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, and rear main seal
- Inspect and replace timing gears, chains, belts, and gaskets as needed
- Replace thermostat and gasket
- Flush and refill the cooling system
- Install new spark plugs, wires, belts, and hoses
Transmissions & Transfer Cases
- Replace all seals
- Install a new filter kit
- Flush and inspect cooling lines
- Properly align and engage the torque converter
- Fill with manufacturer-specified transmission fluid
- Clear all transmission codes before use
- Adjust throttle position sensor cable as required
Differentials
Warranty does not cover backing plates, brake components, linkages, electrical parts, seals, gaskets, or fluids. These must be replaced or installed separately.
Items Sold “As-Is” – No Warranty, No Refund, No Exchange
Certain parts are sold without warranty, including:
- Computers & Electrical Components: Modules (ECM, BCM, PCM) may require reprogramming at the buyer’s expense.
- Airbags: Must be installed according to manufacturer specifications; buyer assumes all risks.
- Tires: Sold as-is, without guarantee of safety or durability.
- Sheet Metal: Damage due to improper installation, weather, or environmental factors is not covered.
Return & Refund Policy
- All sales are final unless a warranty applies.
- Returns are subject to approval and must be in the same condition as sold.
- A 30% restocking fee applies to all returned parts.
- Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
Legal Limitations & Liability
- Acres Auto Parts and Recycling’s maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the part.
- We are not responsible for labor costs, installation fees, or any consequential damages.
- Unpaid balances are subject to a 1.5% monthly interest charge (18% annually).
- A $35 fee applies to any returned checks.
